National School Walkout 04-20-18

On February 14, 2018, seventeen people were murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. That night I couldn’t sleep. I kept looking online, searching for reasons, looking for a logical answer for a tragedy that defied logic. Eventually I went to the piano. After some searching, I fell into a steady, solemn dirge.

The Right (hand) alternates between the same 4 notes for the entire progression…
– Guns don’t kill people. People kill people.
– The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
– Criminals don’t follow laws. Gun control only hurts law-abiding citizens.
– The Second Amendment!!!

The Left (hand) falls, falls, begins to rise, slips, rises again, and ultimately falls.

For those of you not familiar with reading music the Right (hand) is always on top.

On April 20, 1999, thirteen people were murdered at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
